Helmets are highly suggested, but not mandatory. These are somewhat fast paced but chill rides around the city. You can expect to ride 12 – 18 miles in total with charge and food stops incorporated in the route.
The now discontinued Onewheel XR makes the perfect board for someone looking to rent for the day. The Onewheel XR has a range of 12-18 miles and will go 20 mph. Equipped with a fender, wider tire than the Onewheel Pint and more torque, the Onewheel XR is great for going off road and shredding some trails.
This highly modified Onewheel XR is powered by a CBXR battery giving you double the range (30 miles or so) and maximum torque. In addition, this Onewheel is also equipped with Tail Rails, an upgraded treaded tire, concave foot pads, Land Surf fangs, stainless steel float plates and Flight Fins. Not for the faint of heart.
The Onewheel Pint is smaller and more compact and it is great for smaller riders, kids or to go on a short ride. While it has a nimble agile handling and is lighter in weight, it does lack battery range only getting 6-8 miles per charge, has less foot space, and is not as comfortable when going off-road.
Rentals are processed through FriendWithA. This peer to peer rental service provides a payment portal, insurance and liability coverage for both parties providing safety and a seamless rental process.
